Description

This is a used Gibson Custom Shop Wildwood Spec CS-336 F guitar. The item pictured is the one you will receive. It has been tested and gone over by the experts at our shop. When a guitar is purchased from us it undergoes a final setup check before shipping to ensure it’s playing optimally. It is then packed with care and shipped to your door! (But please be aware that it may need slight tweaks upon arrival due to weather differences, jostling during shipping, etc.). Please read the description carefully and check over all photos for condition and wear. We do our best to describe all items as best as possible and note any wear we find, but please be considerate that it is a used piece and it won’t be perfect (Unless noted as “Mint Condition” or “10/10” for condition). If you have any questions about this or any other piece of gear we have, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help!

Condition Notes:

– Condition: 9/10

– Fret wear: Barely any at all! You can sort of notice some flat spots starting to form on the G string in a the first couple of positions upon extremely close inspection, but hardly worth noting.

– Any wear of note: This guitar is in truly incredible shape overall! It’s a VOS finish from Gibson, so it has that ever so slightly aged look to it, like it’s been around for 50+ years (Even though it’s barely 3 years old!). There’s a few extremely light dings around the pickup control area. They very well could be from the VOS process, but they’re pictured as best as possible and aren’t super noticeable until you’re looking for them. You can also see some finish bleed into the binding around the guitar. We’ve seen it with plenty of other Gibson’s in the past though and isn’t anything to worry about. But that’s really it. There’s no egregious wear. It exhibits the normal extremely light swirling in clear coat throughout the body (Very standard wear for a used guitar. Can happen from simply being wiped/cleaned with a cloth). Only visible in certain light and very minor. Nothing that will really photograph in that regard. Again, it’s really in amazing shape and has blatantly been very well maintained!

– Other notes: This is a truly incredible guitar. It’s a player through and through with tons of resonance and pleasing overtones. Even acoustically, you immediately notice the way it rings and how lively it is. The body is akin to the more well known ES-339 where it’s ES-335 in its general shape, but it’s nice and compact like a Les Paul. And unlike the ES-339, which is made of all laminate maple like an ES-335, the CS-336 features a flame maple top with a chambered mahogany back. It’s a really great marriage between an ES and a Les Paul. The mahogany body leads to gorgeous midrange while the chambered/semi-hollow construction provides bass response. Then everything is rounded out with that bit of brightness from the flame maple top. It’s truly a great model from Gibson. The neck is Gibson’s Slim Taper profile that’s super comfortable and fast while not being too thin. The pickups supply gorgeous vintage PAF style tones and let the true sound of the guitar itself come through beautifully. They also don’t overtake the other aspects of your rig, reacting super well to pedals and amps and letting everything be more symbiotic. And to top it all off, it’s utterly gorgeous! The flame maple top is so vivid and eye catching. Especially with the Slow Iced Tea Fade top finish. So it’s a beautiful guitar that plays and sounds as good as it looks. Tons of vintage vibe without the price tag and with modern playability!

– Accessories included: Original hard-shell case, COA, case key and pictured literature only,
