This is a used bass guitar. The item pictured is the one you will receive. It has been tested and gone over by the experts at our shop. When a bass or guitar is purchased from us it undergoes a final setup check before shipping to ensure it’s playing optimally. It is then packed with care and shipped to your door! (But please be aware that it may need slight tweaks upon arrival due to weather differences, jostling during shipping, etc.). Please read the description carefully and check over all photos for condition and wear. We do our best to describe all items as best as possible and note any wear we find, but please be considerate that it is a used piece and it won’t be perfect. If you have any questions about this or any other piece of gear we have, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help!

Condition Notes:

– Condition: 8.5/10

– Fret wear: Very light fret wear. Still tons of life left until there’s any buzzing or setup issues as a result of the frets.

– Any wear of note: Exhibits normal extremely light swirling in clear coat throughout the body (Very standard wear for a used guitar. Only visible in certain light, very minor). Nothing that will really photograph. There’s small, light ding to the left of the bridge (see photos), but it’s pretty minor. There’s some finish imperfections from the factory that you can feel around the inside of the f-holes. But it’s nothing to worry about, just wanted to note to be thurough. The nut seems to have been replaced at some point and the new nut stays in just fine but is smaller than the nut cutout is (see photos). Really still in overall amazing shape!!

– Other notes: This is a really sweet bass with a rich sound and great vintage vibe! It has all the classic features you want from a vintage bass of this ilk with modern playability and craftsmanship. There’s some conflicting info online in regards to a few specs. Most sites say that this model has a spruce top with flame maple back and sides, but the top clearly has some flame/figuring. So we’re not 100% sure if it’s spruce with flaming (which is really rare to see), spruce with photo-flame, or if it’s just flame maple and not spruce at all. But either way, it’s truly gorgeous with vivid figuring and a lovely 2-tone sunburst finish and amazing sound! The Hofner staple pickups provide that really classic unmistakable sound, especially when coupled with the floating wooden bridge and trapeze tailpiece. Another very nice touch are the fretboard inlays. They’re a really deep brown pearl/tortoise strip sandwiched between two off white pearl strips and provide amazing contrast to the ebony fretboard. And it’s incredibly light for any bass at 7lb 3oz! It’s a really incredible bass that feels, looks and sounds amazing. Includes hard-shell case and case key only.
