USED Guild D25 Vintage Acoustic Guitar 1989 – Westerly, RI

This is a used vintage Guild D25 acoustic guitar from 1989. The item pictured is the one you will receive. It has been tested and gone over by the experts at our shop. When a guitar is purchased from us it undergoes a final setup check before shipping to ensure it’s playing optimally. It is then packed with care and shipped to your door! (But please be aware that it may need slight tweaks upon arrival due to weather differences, jostling during shipping, etc.). Please read the description carefully and check over all photos for condition and wear. We do our best to describe all items as best as possible and note any wear we find, but please be considerate that it is a used piece and it won’t be perfect (Unless noted as “Mint Condition” or “10/10” for condition). Condition Notes:

– Condition: 7/10

– Fret wear: You can sort of see some divots in the first position if you look close, but there’s honestly hardly any wear at all currently. The frets are somewhat low, but it’s hard to tell if they’ve been dressed or if Guild just used small fret wire back in the day. But they’re in amazing shape and the guitar honestly doesn’t feel like it’s been played very much, or at least not played very hard.

– Any wear of note: It’s honestly in really amazing shape overall, but shows a few light signs of age upon close inspection. There’s a top crack starting to form at the seam just below the bridge. But our luthier assured us it hasn’t cracked through the top entirely yet. So it can’t even be repaired yet and isn’t anything to worry about currently as long as it’s properly humidified. You can honestly feel it more than you can see it (hence why it’s not very noticeable in the pictures besides direct light). There’s a few light marks and dings here and there. But they’re all pretty minimal and nothing of note besides a few dings at the tip of the headstock and the scratch on the side of the bass side bout of the guitar. There’s also a couple of spots around the body edge where you can notice the binding separating ever so slightly. But it honestly seems like it’s been like that for a while and has settled in at this point, so it shouldn’t be an issue. Seems more like it was finish settling than it was binding shrinking or anything. But again, the guitar is really in amazing shape overall still, especially for its age!

– Other notes: This is a really gorgeous sounding and playing vintage Guild acoustic that was made in Westerly, RI. The classic wood combo of spruce and mahogany (all solid!) provides just the right blend of midrange and brightness to cut through the mix, while the body size provides all the low end you need. And this particular guitar has settled in incredibly well and has opened up so nicely. It’s very responsive and resonant. Playing like a dream as well! The saddle was switched out (still bone), and we aren’t sure if the one that was on the guitar previously was the original or not, but it is included. The action is a pretty perfect medium at the moment. Not so low that you’re losing projection, but low enough where it’s a blast to play! Really just a straight up sweet guitar all around!
