This is a used Analogman modded Boss GE-7 EQ pedal with their Pro mod. The item pictured is the one you will receive. It has been tested and gone over by the experts at our shop to ensure it’s working properly and is free of issues, unless otherwise noted in this listing. Please read the description carefully and check over all photos for condition and wear. We do our best to describe all items as best as possible and note any wear we find, but please be considerate that it is a used piece and it won’t be perfect. – Any wear of note: There’s some extremely light general wear, like a couple of very light chips and scuffs. But very minimal. The pedal is in overall amazing shape, very clean and in full working order!
– General notes: These Analogman modded GE-7’s are really incredible pedals to in your rig! They take an already great 7-band EQ pedal and increase the clarity while cleaning up noise issues they can have and replace some cheaper capacitors with higher grade ones. The mod even allows you to run the pedal at 18v for higher headroom! Making it even more versatile and usable. It’s truly a must have pedal for you tone junkies out there looking to sculpt your sound to the nth degree!

Analog Man presents the Boss GE7/Pro. The GE-7 has a boost/cut of +/- 15dB per band. The Pro mod is designed to improve clarity and lower the noise issues that the stock GE-7’s have.

Boss GE-7
The GE-7 has seven bands ranging from 100Hz to 6.4kHz, ideal for tweaking guitar sounds, with boost/cut of +/- 15dB per band. This lets you completely control your sound and eliminate unwanted feedback, particularly when connected after a distortion effect.

The Pro mod is designed to improve clarity and lower the noise issues that the stock GE-7’s have. This is accomplished by upgrading the IC chips and tone capacitors. We replace the cheap stock tone capacitors with high quality film capacitors like we use in the rest of our effects. This improves the overall clarity of the pedal.

VOLTAGE : The stock GE-7 can not be run over 15V. We modify it so it will run
fine from 9V up to 18V. Higher voltage will give even more clarity and headroom to the pedal.

The stock GE-7 can add some noise if you move the sliders away from center. Even bringing the two lowest sliders DOWN will add noise, try it! Our mod replaces three chips with the King of Tone chip, which is a low noise chip designed for tone controls so it’s perfect in this application. These chips take about 40% more power (pedal goes from 16mA to 23mA), so a battery will not
last as long, better to use a power supply. A normal alkaline battery will still last over 15 hours, so you can use batteries if you want.

We also change a bunch of cheap capacitors used for tone control to high grade metal film caps. This lowers noise and improves tone. Thanks to the people on the diystompboxes forum who posted info on modding this pedal. We used their ideas and tweaked it a bit with our favorite parts to make it the best sound for the price. The OFF tone (buffer) is also improved by using
these high quality film capacitors instead of the cheap electrolytic caps used in the stock pedal.

ReturnsWe want you to be completely happy with your purchase, so we offer a 48 hour approval period on most purchases (see exclusions below). The 48 hour approval period begins when your purchased item is delivered to your door. If after 48 hours you’re not happy with the item, just contact us via phone, email or live chat on our website to arrange for a return authorization (RA#) and return shipping instructions. Any package sent back without prior authorization will be refused.
Returns must be shipped back to us within two days of the RA being issued. Items must come back to us undamaged and in the same condition they were shipped out. All manuals, paperwork, cables, tremolo arms, wrenches, etc… must be included or full credit will not be issued. Any items not conforming to this policy will be subject (at our discretion) to a restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price.
Refunds will be issued minus all related shipping expenses, if free shipping was initially given, the cost we incurred to get the item to you will be deducted from your refund. A 10% restock fee will also be deducted from your refund. Restock fees will be waived for full value exchanges.
Here are exceptions to our return policy.
- Custom orders of any kind are non returnable and non refundable. We often charge a deposit before we will place a custom or special order. All special order deposits are NON REFUNDABLE, no exceptions.
- Microphones, Harmonicas, In-Ear Systems and any other items that come into contact with your mouth or ears.
- Items labeled as BLOWOUT, are non-returnable. These are often being sold below cost and are considered “all sales final”.
- Software (this may also include hardware that includes software), unless still in shrink wrap with barcode affixed.
- Guitar strings, blank media, and other disposable merchandise.
- Guitar or bass pickups that have been installed or used in any way.
- Any item advertised as “USED” is non returnable.

Early Order CancellationAll deposits are non refundable. Lots of our products are special orders and in many cases your order has to be built for you at the factory. This is what makes a lot of our products special. Once your order is started, it's being put together just for you. For this reason we ask that you don't cancel your order after you place it with us. If for some reason you absolutely have to cancel your order with us, we will assess you a 25% cancellation charge. This amount is equal to 25% of your total order amount. Ask us before you place your order to see if what you're purchasing is considered a special order.
Damaged MerchandiseDo not accept your shipment if the package shows any signs of external damage. After the item is returned to us we will ship you a replacement. If you receive incorrect or defective merchandise, please call 781-335-0700 within 5 days for a return authorization number.
